The Industrial Injection PDM-3672.020 is a .020 oversized piston kit designed for 2003-2004 5.9L Cummins engines. This kit serves as a direct drop-in replacement and includes all necessary components: pistons, rings, wrist pins, and clips. The pistons are also offered in standard and .040 oversized options. Optional features include coated & chamfered piston kits and fly-cut, coated & chamfered piston kits. These enhanced versions incorporate a thermal barrier coating on the piston tops and a ceramic coating on the piston skirts. The fly-cutting process increases piston-to-valve clearance for engines utilizing high-lift camshafts, while chamfering on the piston tops aids in preventing swelling and scuffing of the cylinder walls.
