Infinity-6 506 Stand-Alone Engine Management

The AEM Infinity-6 506 Stand-Alone Programmable Engine Management System represents a leap in aftermarket ECU technology, offering capabilities typically found in high-end motorsports applications at an accessible price point for both professional and amateur racers. This unit is built around a cutting-edge 32-bit floating-point 200MHz automotive processor and a Real Time Operating System (RTOS), allowing it to process 400 MIPS. This superior processing power enables greater responsiveness, more accurate ignition timing for increased power output, and the ability to handle complex computational features without performance degradation. The RTOS ensures optimized load balancing, meaning tuning one feature will not negatively impact another. This system provides advanced functionality including airflow model-based (VE) tuning, which simplifies calibration by reducing the need for numerous correction tables. It also offers flex-fuel and multi-fuel compatibility, an on-board wideband air/fuel controller, map switching, and knock control. For engine protection, it incorporates strategies for coolant temp, oil temp, AFR vs. MAP, intake air temp, knock, and fuel pressure. Additionally, it features programmable drive-by-wire, variable cam timing, boost control, single-stage nitrous control, and traction control for up to 2-wheel speed. Data logging is supported up to 64GB via a removable USB drive, with logging rates up to 1 KHz per channel. The Infinity Series 5 is also AEMnet enabled and can communicate with 3rd-party dashes and loggers. Designed for track and racing use only and not for public roads, the Infinity-6 506 is engineered for demanding environments. Its sealed enclosure and IP67-rated communication ports make it suitable for engine bay mounting. AEM provides a universal flying lead harness and a Plug & Pin Kit for installation, with plug-and-play adapter harnesses available for select 4- and 6-cylinder applications.
