The Macht Schnell Intake Charge Pipe (ICP) is a performance upgrade for the BMW E46 M3. It replaces the stock plastic intake elbow, which can create flow turbulence. The ICP is designed with features found on World Challenge racecars to improve airflow into the engine's air plenum.

Its reshaped profile creates a secondary air reservoir, effectively increasing plenum volume for more available filtered air.

The Macht Schnell Intake Charge Pipe (ICP) is engineered as a performance upgrade for the BMW E46 M3, directly addressing the limitations of the factory plastic intake elbow. The stock component's sharp corners and accordion sections introduce flow turbulence just before air enters the engine's air plenum, hindering optimal performance and leaving potential power unrealized. This enhancement effectively increases the plenum volume, ensuring a greater supply of filtered air is readily available to the engine. This improvement contributes to tangible gains in both power output and throttle response. For maximum efficiency, it is recommended to pair the Macht Schnell ICP with a performance panel filter, such as the Macht Schnell High Performance Filter, or other aftermarket intake systems that retain the factory plastic elbow.
