The Integrated Engineering H-Beam Connecting Rod Set (IERHVA1) is engineered for strength and reliability, capable of supporting performance builds up to 600 horsepower and torque. These rods are constructed from extra-strong forged 4340 chromoly steel and feature ARP 2000 rod bolts. Each set is balanced to within +/- 1 gram and honed to exacting tolerances on Sunnen machinery, ensuring precise critical roundness. These H-beam rods are optimized for a lightweight yet strong design, making them ideal for aggressive street builds and supporting higher RPMs for increased top-end power. An optional rifle drilling upgrade is available, which provides enhanced lubrication to the wrist pin bushing, extending engine life. This set is compatible with tanged style rod bearings only. Fitment is specific to VW/Audi engines utilizing factory pistons with 20mm wrist pins on non-tapered rods, including various 1.8T 20V (06A) and 2.0T FSI (EA113) engines. This set is also compatible with stroker crankshafts and 20mm wrist pin stroker pistons for 2.0L or 2.1L conversions.
