The Banks Power Big Hoss intake manifold system is engineered for extreme performance applications, specifically targeting hardcore engine builds aiming for over 1000 horsepower without excessive boost. This system is not intended for daily drivers and is derived directly from Banks' drag and road race trucks. The stock intake manifold presents multiple airflow restrictions, including sharp bends, diameter changes, and internal obstructions that impede air delivery to the cylinder heads. The Banks Big Hoss system replaces these components entirely, featuring individual intake runners (two per cylinder), a significantly larger intake area, and smooth transitions to the cylinder ports. These design improvements facilitate much higher volumes of air delivery to the cylinder heads, allowing for better utilization of port work and reducing the need for extremely high boost pressures. The manifold is o-ring sealed for a secure fit.
