Designed from the ground up with performance as the priority, this manifold exploits careful tuning of runner lengths and diameters to create a resonance effect that rams more air into the cylinders, leading to significant power gains. IE engineers utilized advanced CFD software to optimize the plenum and runner designs for maximum flow, allowing your engine to breathe easier and perform at its peak. This performance manifold is designed for easy installation with factory-like fitment on 07K engines, retaining all factory components without requiring modifications to the engine bay, vacuum, emissions, fuel, or coolant systems. It features an increased plenum volume for even airflow distribution and aggressively sized, flow-tuned runners that contribute to substantial power increases, particularly in the mid-to-high RPM range. The manifold is 100% engineered, tested, cast, and machined in the USA and features a durable black powder-coat finish. This manifold is compatible with all VW 2.5L engines equipped with electric power steering. It will NOT fit if your vehicle has a hydraulic power steering pump, as this component is located directly below the factory intake manifold. Additionally, an ECU tune is required to take full advantage of the manifold's performance design; the IE Stage 2 performance flash is specifically designed to recalibrate the ECU for this manifold, offering increased horsepower and torque, improved throttle response, and a higher rev limiter. For automatic transmission vehicles, a matching IE TCU Transmission tune is also required to remove stock rev limiters that would otherwise prevent the engine from reaching its full power potential. Professional installation is recommended due to the complexity and potential for engine damage from incorrect installation.
