The CTS Turbo Intake is engineered to deliver enhanced airflow for tuned vehicles, specifically designed for MQB VW Mk7/Mk7.5 Golf/GTI, Golf R, and 8V Audi A3/TT models equipped with Secondary Air Injection (SAI). It utilizes the OEM air scoop in conjunction with a sealed airbox to direct cold air into the system. The 3.5-inch high-flow air filter with an inverted cone design, coupled with a 3.5-inch CNC mandrel-bent aluminum intake pipe, ensures smooth airflow directly into the engine, minimizing turbulence and maximizing performance. This intake system is designed to provide increased horsepower and torque across the entire power band, with peak gains typically ranging from 10-15HP on stock vehicles. It also produces an aggressive, race-inspired engine sound, and disabling the Soundaktor (noise amplifier) is recommended to fully appreciate the sound and reduce potential drone. The construction includes a black powder-coated aluminum pipe, a reusable air filter, 4-ply silicone connectors with stainless steel clamps, and a sealed airbox with bracketry to prevent rattling. Important fitment notes apply: This intake system is not compatible with vehicles equipped with a MAF sensor. Vehicles without SAI, such as the 8V S3, 8S TT-S, and Mk7(.5) Golf R, require a different configuration or part number (CTS-IT-270R-1). It is crucial to confirm your vehicle's SAI setup before ordering. The product is not for sale or use in California on pollution-controlled vehicles.
