The IPD 96382 is a performance intake plenum engineered for the Porsche 996 GT3 Mark II, aiming to enhance the already potent driving experience. This component is designed to deliver an additional 24 horsepower at the wheels and 26 ft-lbs of torque, complementing the engine's power delivery, particularly in the mid-range. This plenum features IPD's patented Y-design and is specifically constructed to integrate with a larger 82mm throttle body. It requires an upgrade from the factory 76mm throttle body to the 997 GT3 82mm throttle body, which is an additional purchase and crucial for proper fitment and performance gains. The combination of the plenum and the larger throttle body is presented as the ultimate performance upgrade for the 996 GT3. Installation of the 996 GT3 Mark II IPD Plenum is described as relatively straightforward, however, IPD strongly recommends that the installation be performed by a highly qualified Porsche technician.
