The Cold Air 501-1101-B is a cold air intake system specifically designed to replace the restrictive factory air system in 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro V6 models. By allowing more air into the engine, this upgrade aims to enhance performance, leading to increased horsepower and torque, and improved throttle response. The system includes a premium oiled air filter, featuring interwoven cotton media in a pleated configuration to maximize surface area for effective filtration while maintaining good airflow. The intake tube is constructed from heavy-grade aluminum alloy, providing durability and corrosion resistance in a lightweight package. It also features a machine-formed design with an integrated MAF sensor housing for simplified relocation. The accompanying air box is fully insulated and includes a clear sight window for easy filter inspection. A textured black powder coat finish adds both corrosion protection and a rugged aesthetic. Standard hand tools are sufficient for installation, which is estimated to take approximately one hour and is described as simple for anyone to perform. This cold air intake does not require an ECU re-tune for installation, though a future re-tune is suggested to fully unlock its performance potential. It is important to note that this product does not have a CARB EO Number, which may affect its legality for use in California.
