The IE Engineering IEINDB3 is a high-end carbon fiber engine bay dress-up component, crafted from genuine twill carbon fiber with a striking high-gloss surface finish. It serves as a direct bolt-on upgrade, utilizing pre-threaded mounting points and including stainless bolts and washers for a straightforward installation that requires no drilling or modifications. The average installation time for those who already have an iE intake installed is estimated at 10-15 minutes. This carbon fiber lid is exclusively an upgrade for owners of existing iE Cold Air Intake Kits for the VW MK8 GTI, Golf R, and Audi 8Y S3. It is crucial to note that the iE MK8/8Y Intake System itself is sold separately and is not included with this carbon fiber cover. For those who do not yet own an iE intake, it can be purchased together with the carbon lid. This product is compatible with the following vehicles: Volkswagen GTI MK8 (2022-2025) with the 2.0T EA888 Gen 4 EVO engine, Volkswagen Golf R MK8 (2022-2025) with the 2.0T EA888 Gen 4 EVO engine, and Audi S3 (2022-2025) with the 2.0T EA888 Gen 4 EVO engine. Please be aware that this product is not currently legal for road use in California due to not complying with California emissions laws, and therefore cannot be sold or shipped to California addresses.
