The HKS Racing Suction (Code No. 70020-AZ106) is a performance air cleaner designed to enhance the engine of the MAZDA SPEED AXELA (DBA- BL3FW, L3-VDT engine, model years 2009/06 - 2013/10). This system focuses on improving engine response and increasing torque specifically between 3500 and 4500rpm. While significant horsepower increases are not the primary goal, the improved airflow contributes to a more engaging driving experience. Performance gains measured include a stock horsepower of 217.4 kW (295.7 PS) and a Racing Suction horsepower of 223.8 kW (304.4 PS). Stock torque is 457.6 N･m (46.7 kg･m), which increases to 472.6 N･m (48.2 kg･m) with the Racing Suction system installed. For optimal performance, especially in sport racing scenarios, HKS recommends using high-temperature type spark plugs. For maximum filter performance, regular filter changes are advised.
