Overview

The Shark Racing Intake set is designed for the 2021+ K5 1.6 Turbo. It improves airflow to the turbo and lowers intake temperature for increased power. Installation of this intake set can result in a 5-10 horsepower increase.

The kit includes a mandrel-bent 2.75-inch aluminum intake pipe with a ceramic coating to reduce intake temperatures, and a SYSTEM-UPGRADE intake filter made in Korea. The silicone couplers are now black and do not have logos. Piping modifications were made for shipments starting January 2024.

The Shark Racing Intake set is engineered to enhance the performance of the 2021+ K5 1.6 Turbo engine. Users can expect an increase of 5 to 10 horsepower after installation. The kit features a mandrel-bent 2.75-inch aluminum intake pipe. This pipe is ceramic coated to help dissipate heat and further reduce intake temperatures. It comes equipped with a SYSTEM-UPGRADE intake filter, manufactured in Korea. While earlier versions may have shown blue silicone couplers in photos, current kits include all black couplers without any logos. Additionally, modifications to the piping were implemented for shipments beginning January 2024, meaning the installed product might have a slightly different appearance compared to older iterations. This intake set is specifically designed for the 2021 and later model year K5 vehicles equipped with the 1.6 Turbo engine.
