The Nissens 961604 is an intercooler charger designed as a replica of the larger MINI R53 Cooper S JCW GP Intercooler. This unit features aluminum cooling fins and a plastic radiator tank, utilizing brazed cooling fins for its air-cooled operation. With a core measuring 277mm in length, 188mm in width, and 50mm in depth, it is engineered to enhance the cooling of air before it is compressed into the intake side. While it can be fitted to standard Cooper S engines, this requires additional ducting and hardware. It is not compatible with models lacking the JCW GP face plate. OE and cross-reference numbers for this intercooler include MINI 17517565302 and 7565302. The product is manufactured in Denmark and weighs 1.819 Kg.
