The CVF Performance Intercooler is engineered as a direct bolt-on replacement, requiring no modifications for installation on compatible vehicles. It is specifically designed for the 2020-2023 Ford Explorer ST equipped with the 3.0L EcoBoost engine, as well as the 2020-2023 Ford Explorer models featuring the 2.3L EcoBoost engine. Constructed from top-grade aluminum, this intercooler utilizes a TIG-welded bar-and-plate design for enhanced durability. It features high-flow cast end tanks, which are noted to provide superior airflow efficiency compared to welded aluminum construction, ensuring optimal performance. The intercooler boasts 214% greater volume and 260% greater frontal area than the stock unit, with a cooling area of 26.5" x 15.75" x 2". Independent testing has demonstrated an observed reduction of over 85 degrees Fahrenheit in charge air temperature under real-world street conditions, contributing to increased horsepower. As with all CVF products, this performance intercooler is backed by a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturer's defects.
