The Unitronic Intercooler and Charge Pipe Upgrade Kit offers a substantial performance enhancement for the 8Y S3® 2.0TSI® EVO4. This comprehensive kit is engineered as a direct OEM replacement, designed to efficiently manage higher horsepower demands, supporting up to 600HP and beyond. Its core component is a massive bar and plate intercooler measuring 23.5" x 2" x 16.5", constructed from durable T5052 aluminum with T6061 cast aluminum end tanks. This design significantly increases air volume for heat exchange, providing superior resistance to heat-soak and maintaining optimal cooling efficiency without creating excessive pressure drops. The kit also includes essential charge piping upgrades, featuring lightweight aluminum tubing with a 60mm internal diameter. This upgrade eliminates restrictions in the boost piping from the turbocharger to the engine, ensuring unrestricted airflow. The package is completed with multi-ply reinforced silicone hoses, including a fluorolined inner layer for resistance to oil penetration, and maintains the OEM DV port connection. A 1/8” NPT port is integrated into the throttle body pipe for convenient water/methanol injection nozzle installation, and a bung for the OEM MAP sensor is also included. Installation is designed to be a direct bolt-on process, utilizing 3D modeling for a seamless fit. Basic mechanical knowledge and tools are recommended for a straightforward installation, which can typically be completed within hours. The kit includes the intercooler core, throttle body pipe, turbo discharge pipe, silicone hoses, and all necessary hardware.
