Intercooler & Charge Pipe Kit

The Unitronic Intercooler Upgrade and Charge Pipe Kit for the MK8 GTI® 2.0TSI® EVO4 is engineered as a direct OEM replacement, capable of supporting 600HP and beyond. This comprehensive kit features a substantial 23.5" x 2" x 16.5" bar and plate intercooler core, constructed from durable T5052 aluminum with T6061 cast aluminum end tanks. These tanks incorporate a proprietary internal fin and louver configuration for enhanced thermal efficiency. Included in this bundle are an upgraded turbo discharge pipe, a throttle body pipe, and multi-ply reinforced silicone hoses for the turbo outlet, throttle body, and intercooler connections. These components work together to significantly reduce heat-soak and provide optimal, efficient cooling under all driving conditions. By eliminating restrictions in the boost piping from the turbocharger to the engine, the kit allows for unrestricted airflow and maximizes performance. The intercooler core offers over 60% more volume than the OEM unit, enhancing its capacity for heat exchange and improving resistance to heat-soak without creating a significant pressure drop. The charge pipes are made from lightweight aluminum tubing with a 60mm internal diameter, promoting smooth airflow transitions. The silicone hoses feature a fluorolined inner layer for superior resistance to oil penetration, ensuring durability. Additionally, the kit includes a 1/8” NPT port on the throttle body pipe for easy installation of a water/methanol injection nozzle, and an integrated bung for the OEM Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. The entire kit is finished with a durable wrinkle black powder coat.
