The IE Engineering Intercooler Charge Pipes are specifically required for installing the IE MK6 FDS Intercooler (IETPCB1) onto 2013.5+ EA888 Gen 3 engines in MK6 GLI vehicles. These charge pipes are essential to accommodate the updated turbo setup found in later MK6 models equipped with Gen 3 engines, ensuring a direct-fit installation of the intercooler. Their design maximizes airflow, reducing restrictions for optimized performance. Constructed from multi-ply reinforced silicone, they are built for longevity and offer increased resistance to expansion or stretching under high boost pressures generated by upgraded turbos and tunes. The hose ends feature an internal flat edge that acts as a stop, facilitating a perfect and secure installation while preventing hoses from popping off or leaking. This kit includes one inlet silicone charge pipe, one outlet silicone charge pipe, and four band clamps. Please note that this product is not currently legal for road use in California due to emissions laws and cannot be sold or shipped to California addresses. Additionally, the product is subject to California's Prop 65 warning regarding potential exposure to chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
