This is achieved through a massively increased core volume, a superior bar and plate intercooler core design, and smooth, cast aluminum end tanks. The intercooler boasts an APR core with dimensions of 2.25" x 16.25" x 22", offering a 40% larger surface area than stock. It features larger inlets and outlets for improved airflow and is pressure tested to ensure leak-proof operation. The system includes multi-ply silicone hoses with APR's EZ-Flow stepped design and T-bolt hose clamps for a secure, slip-proof fit. The end tanks are constructed from 356-F aluminum with a cast design, and machined mounting points are incorporated for weight savings. A CNC-machined billet adapter is also included. It is compatible with the factory air conditioning condenser and radiator. The system is legal under EPA's Tampering Policy (Emission Code 7) and is legal for sale in all states accepting the Clean Air Act and EPA Tampering Policy. However, it is NOT LEGAL FOR SALE OR USE IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA pending CARB testing. Compatibility is confirmed for the EA888.3 engine version, fitting the Volkswagen Beetle (2013-2019), Jetta (2013-2018), and Passat (2014-2022). Note that EA113 and EA888 Gen 1 and 2 models require part number IC100012.
