Intercooler Kit

The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Kit is specifically designed for the 2015+ Ford Mustang EcoBoost, addressing the challenges of high charge air temperatures in turbocharged engines. The kit replaces both the stock hot-side and cold-side intercooler pipes. This direct-fit intercooler boasts a 58% increase in core size and a 25% increase in internal core volume, along with a 165% increase in external fin surface area. It achieves a significant 35°F reduction in intake air temperatures with minimal pressure loss. The cast end tanks have been CFD tested for maximum airflow, and an in-tank air diverter on the hot side ensures optimal flow through the intercooler. Mishimoto engineers designed this unit to fit in the stock location, preventing airflow blockage to the radiator and AC condenser, and to retain the stock active grille shutters for optimal aerodynamics when cooling demands are lower. The kit includes 2.5" hot-side and 2.75" cold-side mandrel-bent aluminum piping for smooth airflow. The precision CNC-machined BPV flange on the hot-side pipe allows for the retention of the stock BPV. Installation is straightforward and can typically be completed in under 2 hours without removing the front bumper cover. The intercooler itself is available with a Sleek Silver or Stealth Black finish, while the piping can be ordered with a polished silver or wrinkle black finish. This intercooler is rated for approximately 550 whp; exceeding this limit may require a custom-size front-mount intercooler. The kit comes with Mishimoto's Lifetime Warranty.
