Intercooler Kit w/ Garrett Core

The COBB Tuning Intercooler Kit is engineered to provide a substantial increase in cooling capacity for the FL5 Honda Civic Type R and DE5 Acura Integra Type S, crucial for supporting increased power output and maintaining consistent performance, even at stock levels. The factory intercooler's cooling capacity is limited and prone to heat-soak under extreme conditions; this COBB kit addresses that limitation. Bespoke COBB end tanks are integrated to optimize flow and ensure uniform air dispersion across the entire core, leading to significant improvements in heat management without compromising airflow. The charge piping consists of 2.5" mandrel-bent aluminum tubing, finished in a wrinkle black powder coat, and secured with custom silicone couplers and constant tension clamps for a leak-free installation. The kit includes bespoke billet upper mounts and new bushings for both upper and lower mounts to properly support the larger, heavier aluminum core and end tanks. The kit is compatible with both stock tunes and COBB Off-The-Shelf (OTS) maps, and features cast aluminum end tanks. Notably, for Model Year 2026 vehicles, this product is not currently for sale in California. COBB Tuning is working towards CARB-approved 50-State status for this item. The kit is 50 State Legal and carries California Air Resources Board (CARB) Executive Order (EO) number D-660-276.
