It addresses the limitations of the factory intercooler, which struggles to cope with higher power demands and can lead to serious power losses during hard driving due to soaring air temperatures.

The Racingline Intercooler System (VWR14G700) is a direct replacement front-mount intercooler specifically designed for the demanding needs of MQB-platform vehicles powered by the EA888.3 engine. The factory intercooler in these cars has been found to be insufficient for higher power outputs, leading to significant power losses as intake air temperatures (IAT) soar during spirited driving. This massive 'plate & bar' intercooler system effectively combats heat soak, ensuring consistent performance run after run without the need for recovery cool-down times. Racingline's development focused on optimizing the balance between aggressive IAT cooling and minimal pressure loss. The result is an increased-sized core that enhances cooling efficiency without compromising throttle response or introducing noticeable lag. Installation on some models, such as the MQB 'Evo' platform, may require light trimming of the black plastic radiator carrier to accommodate the larger core. Please note that installation hardware is not included with this intercooler system.
