It features a dense bar-and-plate core and machined billet aluminum end tanks. The intercooler utilizes factory mounting spots and includes all necessary hardware for installation.

The PRL Motorsports Intercooler Upgrade Kit addresses the heat-soak issues common in the Honda Civic 1.5L turbo, which can lead to detonation and power loss. This upgrade features a robust 550+ horsepower rated 25.5x4x6.3” bar-and-plate core with machined billet aluminum end tanks. The kit includes the intercooler assembly with billet end tanks, air guides with stainless hardware, and billet aluminum factory charge pipe adapters. Important installation notes include the recommendation to remove the lower factory intake air box damper for optimal fitment. No ECU calibration is required. The kit also includes replacement O-rings for the factory charge pipe system. This intercooler is specifically designed to fit all 2016-2021 Honda Civic 1.5T models, including Si, CVT, 6MT, RHD, and International variants. It is also 50 State Legal and CARB Approved with EO D-878. The intercooler can be used with factory charge piping or paired with PRL's charge pipe upgrade kit for optimal performance. However, it is explicitly stated that this product is NOT LEGAL FOR SALE OR USE IN CALIFORNIA ON ANY EMISSION CONTROLLED MOTOR VEHICLE.
