Intercooler Upgrade Kit

The Unitronic Intercooler Upgrade Kit is engineered for the MK8 GTI and Golf R models equipped with the 2.0TSI EVO4 engines. This direct OEM replacement is designed to support up to 600HP and beyond, offering a substantial improvement in cooling efficiency. The core of this upgrade is a massive 23.5" x 2" x 16.5" bar and plate intercooler, constructed from T5052 aluminum. The T6061 cast aluminum end tanks and TIG welded construction ensure durability and optimal performance. With over 60% more volume than the OEM intercooler, this unit provides a greater capacity for heat exchange, leading to cooler, denser air for the engine and significantly improved resistance to heat-soak. Basic mechanical knowledge and tools are sufficient for installation, which can typically be completed within a few hours. Unitronic also offers related hardware, such as charge pipe kits and silicone intercooler hose sets, to complement the intercooler upgrade.
