The Unitronic Intercooler Upgrade Kit offers a substantial enhancement for the B8/8.5 A4/A5, serving as a direct OEM replacement. This kit is engineered to support high-horsepower applications, capable of handling 600HP and beyond. At its core is a massive 20.5" x 4" x 8" bar and plate intercooler constructed from T5052 aluminum, featuring T6061 cast aluminum end tanks. Unitronic's design philosophy prioritizes performance and precision. The intercooler core utilizes a proprietary staggered and louvered fin configuration to maximize efficiency, leading to significantly reduced charge air temperatures and denser air for the engine. This directly combats heat-soak, ensuring consistent cooling performance even under rigorous driving conditions. The core boasts over 80% more volume than the stock unit, further enhancing its cooling capacity without creating a significant pressure drop. Using in-house 3D scanning and engineering software, Unitronic ensures precise fitment tolerances. The kit includes the Unitronic Direct Fit B8/8.5 A4/A5 Intercooler Core, Hose Kit, and Bolt Kit. Basic mechanical knowledge and tools are sufficient for installation, which can typically be completed within a few hours.
