The VIS Racing Invader Style Carbon Fiber Hood offers a significant aesthetic upgrade for your 1988-1991 Honda Civic 4-door, giving it a commanding presence and a winning race look. This hood is meticulously crafted from Grade-A carbon fiber material, utilizing a vacuum-infused single mold process to ensure optimal strength-to-weight ratio and durability. The top layer is bonded with high-grade epoxy resin and finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective polyurethane coating for a high-gloss finish. The underside features a one-piece, smooth shell that enhances the product's structural integrity, while the edges are hand-smoothed for a quality finish. VIS Racing is transitioning to their VIP process, which uses a single-mold vacuum to produce parts that are 10-20% lighter than before, further improving durability without a substantial cost increase. Installation is recommended to be performed by a professional. Additionally, the manufacturer strongly recommends the use of hood pins, which are sold separately, for added security.
