Developed through extensive research and development with professional race teams in various disciplines, these ignition coils are built for demanding conditions. They are meticulously engineered in Japan and handmade in the USA at Ignition Projects' California facility. Each unit undergoes rigorous testing with an industrial-grade oscilloscope to guarantee the highest quality before it is dispatched. Installation is straightforward as these IP Coils are a direct plug-in replacement, requiring no modifications to your vehicle's existing system. Ignition Projects offers a one-year warranty on all their IP Ignition Coil products, covering both daily drivers and competition vehicles. It is important to note that all IP Coils are made to order, with an assembly time of 3-5 business days after order confirmation. A professional ECU tune is required to fully realize the performance benefits of these coils. This part is compatible with the 1996-1998 BMW 318i and 1996-1997 BMW 318is, both equipped with the 1.9L 4-cylinder engine.
