Iridium IX Spark Plug

The NGK Iridium IX spark plug (part number LTR7IX-11, stock number 6510) is engineered for the performance enthusiast, offering a stable spark and enhanced durability in demanding engine environments. Its 0.6mm fine-wire iridium center electrode requires less voltage for ignition, leading to quicker starts, smoother idling, and improved throttle response. The iridium alloy's high melting point ensures consistent performance, even in high-compression or forced-induction setups. Special trivalent metal plating provides superior corrosion and anti-seizing properties, making installation and future removal easier. Corrugated ribs are integrated to prevent flashover, ensuring the spark occurs exclusively at the electrode tip. Heat dissipation is maximized through a pure alumina silicate ceramic insulator and a solid copper core, efficiently drawing heat away from the combustion chamber.
