Overview

The Denso IK22 Iridium Power spark plug is engineered for enhanced ignition performance. It features a 14mm thread diameter, 1.25mm thread pitch, and a 19mm reach. The spark plug has a 5/8" (16mm) hex size and a heat range of 22. Its design includes a projected insulator tip and a solid terminal type with a gasket seat.

It features a 0.4mm iridium alloy center electrode, laser-welded for durability and reduced voltage requirements, ensuring a more consistent and powerful spark. The plug incorporates a U-Groove ground electrode with a tapered cut, which further enhances ignitability and minimizes quenching, leading to a more complete combustion. The center electrode is projected for improved performance. Constructed with a purified alumina powder insulator, this spark plug offers exceptional strength and superior thermal conductivity, preventing flashover with its five-rib design. Machine rolled threads are incorporated to prevent seizing or cross-threading during installation and removal, ensuring a smooth service experience. Each Denso Iridium Power spark plug is 100% pre-fired to guarantee the highest quality output. The copper-glass seal provides a gas-tight bond between the center electrode and the insulator. With a longevity of 30,000 miles and a 12-month warranty, these spark plugs are built for sustained performance.
