The Denso 5347 IKH27 Iridium Power spark plug is engineered for enhanced ignition performance. Its design features a 0.4mm iridium-tipped, laser-welded fine wire center electrode, which significantly reduces the required voltage for ignition and improves overall firing consistency. The plug also incorporates a U-groove ground electrode with a taper cut shape to increase ignitability and decrease quenching, contributing to a more complete combustion. Constructed with machine-rolled threads, this spark plug prevents seizing or cross-threading during installation and removal, ensuring a reliable fit. The purified alumina powder insulator offers exceptional strength and thermal conductivity, while a five-rib insulator design prevents flashover. A copper-glass seal bonds the center electrode and insulator, creating a gas-tight seal for optimal performance and longevity. The plug is 100% pre-fired to guarantee the highest quality. Specifications include a 14mm thread diameter with a 1.25mm pitch, a gasket seat type, and a 26.5mm reach. The hex size is 5/8" (16mm), and it features a solid terminal type. The recommended gap is 0.031" (0.8mm), and it is a resistor-type plug with a 5k Ohm resistance. The heat range is rated at 27. Denso specifies torque settings of 26-30 lb. ft. for cast iron cylinder heads and 15-22 lb. ft. for aluminum heads. The projected lifespan is approximately 30,000 miles, with a 12-month warranty.
