The Denso ITV20 Iridium Power spark plug is engineered to enhance engine performance and reliability. Its core innovation lies in the 0.4mm iridium-tipped, laser-welded fine wire center electrode, which significantly reduces the voltage needed for ignition, leading to more efficient and complete combustion. Complementing the center electrode, the spark plug features a U-Groove ground electrode with a tapered cut. This design promotes increased ignitability and minimizes flame quenching, ensuring a stronger spark and better overall engine response. The spark plug is constructed with a purified alumina powder insulator, providing exceptional strength and superior thermal conductivity. Furthermore, a five-rib design on the insulator prevents flashover, maintaining consistent electrical performance. Each Denso ITV20 spark plug is 100% pre-fired to guarantee the highest quality and performance right out of the box. The copper-glass seal ensures a gas-tight connection between the center electrode and the insulator, preventing gas leakage and maintaining optimal spark plug function. This spark plug has a projected center electrode and a solid terminal type, with a standard ISO overall height. It is designed with a U-Groove ground electrode, and its heat range is rated at 20, with a resistance value of 5k Ohm. The specified torque for installation is 7-15 lb. ft. for both cast iron and aluminum engine blocks. The expected longevity of this spark plug is approximately 30,000 miles.
