They also require less voltage to produce a strong spark, with an optimized electrode design that handles hard-to-ignite fuels like ethanol.

The APR Iridium Pro Spark Plug set is engineered as a premium upgrade for tuned and high-output vehicles. Constructed from Iridium, known for its exceptional strength and high melting point (152% higher than silver, 125% higher than copper, and 38% higher than platinum), these plugs offer superior durability and performance. Their projected insulator design and optimized electrode configuration are specifically beneficial for igniting difficult fuels such as ethanol, making them ideal for applications involving high boost, high cylinder pressure, and extreme temperatures. They also feature a lower required supplied voltage for a stronger spark. With a heat range of 9, they are suitable for engines that benefit from a cooler plug than the factory specification. The specific dimensions are a 14mm thread diameter, 19mm thread reach, and a 16mm hexagon, with a gasket seat type. The recommended installation torque is 25 Nm. These plugs are an excellent match for APR ignition coils and are considered perfect for upgraded APR vehicles. They are made in the EU and come as a set of four. Fitment is crucial, and while they are designed for many Audi and Volkswagen models equipped with the 2.0T engine, it is essential to use the vehicle selector or consult specific fitment guides to ensure compatibility with your exact vehicle year, model, and submodel.
