The Brisk RR14BYIR-7 Iridium Yttrium Performance Spark Plug is engineered for demanding, modern engines. Its advanced design utilizes an Iridium core center electrode paired with a Yttrium alloy body and earth electrode. This combination significantly lowers the voltage requirement for the ignition system, which translates to numerous benefits for engine performance and longevity. Key features include a Nickel/Zinc coating for corrosion protection and a cylindrical insulator tip that promotes fast self-cleaning at low temperatures, shortly after engine startup. The spark plug's lower voltage requirement contributes to easier cold starts and minimizes the likelihood of misfires, particularly in scenarios involving oil burning, the use of alternative fuels, or prolonged idling periods. With a projected design and a heat range of 14, these spark plugs offer a very long service life, rated at 100,000 km or 60,000 miles. They are suitable for unleaded and alternative fuel vehicles and are specifically recommended for modern, highly stressed engines.
