IRON 1 PIECE REAR GEN V

Cast Iron, 8.1, 10.236 Deck Height, 4.350 Bore. Features standard 9.800" and tall 10.200" deck heights, 4.250" or 4.310" bore sizes. Uses +.300" tall Gen VI style lifters. Scalloped outer water jacket walls improve coolant flow. True priority main oiling lubricates main bearings before lifters. Stepped main oil gallery increases oil flow to crank at high rpm. Front oil crossover eliminates internal oil leaks around distributor shaft. Oil filter pad drilled and tapped for external oil pump. Lifter valley head stud bosses prevent blown head gaskets. Mechanical fuel pump boss, clutch linkage mounts, and side/front motor mounts simplify installation. 4-bolt main bearing caps in ductile iron with splayed outer bolts for extra strength. MRK IV blocks use 2-piece rear seal; Gen V/VI blocks use 1-piece seal and different timing cover pattern. Standard BBC cam and main bore. Coated cam bearings, freeze plugs, and dowel pins included.
