The Grannas Racing Ultimate IRS 8.8 Rear Swap Kit provides a robust and adaptable solution for 1993-1998 Toyota Supra (MKIV) owners looking to upgrade their drivetrain with a Ford 8.8 rear end. This kit is engineered for a 100% bolt-in installation, leveraging the vehicle's factory rear subframe mounting points without the need for cutting or fabrication. The mounting components are backed by a lifetime warranty. The core of the kit is the Grannas Racing HD Cast 8.8 differential cover. This design also allows for a bolt-on mounting plate to adapt to the chassis's rear bolt pattern. The kit is compatible with several 8.8 IRS case types: Ford Explorer (2006.5-2010 large aluminum case), Ford Thunderbird (1989-1997 small cast iron case), Grannas Racing IRON reproduction case, and Mustang Cobra (2003-2004) or Lincoln MK8 (1993-1998 small aluminum case). For applications exceeding 1000 HP, the cast iron Thunderbird or GR iron case is recommended. Axle options include Level 5 Direct Fit Axles (rated to 1000 HP) designed for an 800-1000 WHP range, and Pro Level Axles (rated to 1400 HP) featuring larger spline sizes and 30 spline aerospace grade torsional axle bars for extreme use. For the Pro Level Axles, a separate rear wheel bearing kit purchase is necessary. Driveshaft options are available in aluminum and carbon fiber to fit common transmissions and the 8.8 rear differential. Custom driveshafts can be fabricated if the specific transmission is not listed. An optional billet adapter is available for customers with an existing T56 driveshaft for the OEM 200mm differential.
