IRS Subframe Bushing Support Kit

The Steeda Stop the Hop Drag Ultimate Kit is engineered to provide the fundamental foundation for ultimate traction and suspension compliance, specifically targeting the elimination of unwanted wheel hop in S550 Mustangs for drag racing. The kit addresses factory IRS subframe weaknesses by incorporating several key components. First, the Alignment Dowel Kit features CNC-machined Delrin inserts to fill factory bolt hole voids, squaring the subframe to the chassis and limiting fore/aft and side-to-side movement under acceleration and braking. The patented IRS Subframe Bushing Support System, made from billet 6061 aluminum, fills all factory voids to prevent up and down subframe movement. A robust chrome-moly steel 5-point support brace ties the factory subframe directly into the chassis at crucial mounting points, including the front mount and lower control arm mount, for maximum support. Further enhancing performance are Steeda's rear lower control arm spherical bushings, recommended for drag racing to eliminate deflection and ensure immediate tire hook-up upon acceleration, preventing negative toe buildup during launches. The kit also includes Adjustable Rear Camber Arms, CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, allowing for precise alignment adjustments from +2 to -5 degrees to optimize the tire's contact patch. Steeda's Rear Toe Links are included to improve launch control and reduce 60-foot times, while the Billet Vertical Links with Delrin Bushings stiffen the rear and reduce deflection for better power transfer to the ground and prevention of wheel hop. Finally, the kit incorporates the Ford Performance Knuckle to Toe Link Assembly, which replaces the factory rubber bushing to further reduce deflection and improve overall handling. It is important to note that the Steeda IRS Subframe support braces included in this kit will not fit convertible Mustang models. This kit is designed for 2015-2023 Mustang coupes.
