Overview

The Neuspeed IS38 Front Mount Intercooler kit is a performance cooling upgrade for VW MK7 GTI models equipped with secondary air injection (SAI). This kit features a bar-and-plate core design and high-efficiency cast aluminum end tanks to improve air charge cooling for larger turbo setups.

The system installs in the lower bumper opening for direct access to unrestricted airflow without requiring cutting or trimming of the bumper structure. It is CARB exempt under EO# D-236-19.

The NEUSPEED IS38 Front Mount InterCooler (FMIC) kit has been completely redesigned for the VW MK7 GTI, specifically for vehicles equipped with larger turbo conversions. This kit boasts a longer core and newly engineered end tanks featuring larger inlet and outlet ports, optimized to work with higher horsepower outputs for maximum air charge cooling. Constructed with highly efficient cast aluminum end-tanks and a bar-and-plate core, this FMIC kit significantly outperforms inferior 'factory' style upgrades. Unlike factory systems that are restricted by surrounding components and radiant heat, the NEUSPEED FMIC utilizes the entire lower bumper opening with its twice-thick core, positioned in front of the radiators for direct access to cool, unrestricted airflow, making it an ultimate forced induction cooling system. This kit requires absolutely no cutting or trimming of the vehicle's metal bumper structure or bumper cover. The intercooler is available in two finishes: Standard Natural Aluminum (no coating) or an Optional Black Heat Emitting Coating. A NEUSPEED stencil is available free of charge upon request during checkout. Important Fitment Note: This kit DOES NOT FIT vehicles equipped with Forward Collision Warning systems.
