This turn-key upgrade combines a heavily modified IS38 turbocharger with Racingline's matched OEM+ Performance Software, achieving a safe and repeatable 480bhp on IS38-equipped cars, or approximately 450bhp on vehicles with smaller IS20 turbos like the Golf 7 GTI. Dynamic testing has shown peak figures exceeding 500bhp, with calibration deliberately set lower for long-term reliability and consistency. Expect rapid acceleration, with 0-60mph times around 3 seconds for 4MOTION DSG models and quarter-mile times in the low 11s or high 10s. This hybrid turbo stands out by re-engineering the internals of the factory IHI turbocharger housing rather than requiring a completely aftermarket unit with custom plumbing. This approach ensures simpler and more cost-effective installation, as it retains the original oil and coolant lines, gaskets, and mounting points. Each unit is built, balanced, and tested in the UK on a Vane Flow Test Rig to ensure its readiness for high-performance operation. Key internal upgrades include a race-spec 360° thrust bearing pack with an increased shaft diameter, brand-new CNC-machined billet compressor and cut-back turbine wheels, and ported internal housing flow paths. The included Racingline OEM+ Performance Software is fully matched to the hardware, providing a complete, plug-and-play solution with no guesswork involved.
