The CTS Turbo IS38 Replacement Turbocharger is engineered as a direct fit for MQB-based EA888.3 vehicles, serving as either a replacement for the stock IS38 turbo or an upgrade for smaller IS12 and IS20 units. This brand new turbocharger requires no core exchange and features an upgraded turbine shaft and bearings, along with a durable stainless steel turbine housing, all manufactured to precise OEM-spec tolerances. When upgrading from an IS12 or IS20 turbo, proper tuning software is essential; consult your tuning provider for compatibility. CTS Turbo recommends pairing this turbocharger with their downpipe and intercooler for optimal performance when upgrading. The installation process is a direct replacement of the factory turbo, utilizing OEM gaskets and hardware. However, essential hardware such as the turbo inlet gasket, outlet seal, mount nuts, and oil line gaskets/O-rings are not included and must be sourced separately.
