IS38 Turbocharger

The Volkswagen OEM IS38 Turbocharger, part number 06K-145-722-H, is a Genuine VW/Audi component manufactured by IHI America. This IS38 turbocharger is also a popular upgrade for GTI and A3 owners, offering enhanced performance. Installation of this turbocharger requires proper tuning software, and users should consult their tuning software provider. For retrofitting into GTI/A3 2.0T models, larger downpipe and intercooler are recommended. Essential reinstallation hardware, including coolant and oil line gaskets, banjo bolts, and crush washers, should be acquired. For the upgrade application, new spark plugs, gaskets, and hardware are also required; an IS38 upgrade kit is available.
