IS38ETR V2 Turbocharger for 2.0 TSI EA888 GEN3

The Revo IS38ETR V2 Enhanced Hybrid Turbo Upgrade is engineered for 2.0 TSI EA888 GEN3 engines, serving as a direct replacement for the OEM IHI IS38 turbo. This upgrade is designed for Stage 3 performance packages and is suitable for various MQB platform vehicles, including the Mk7/7.5 Golf R/GTI, Audi S3 8V/TTS, Seat Leon Cupra, and Octavia VRS. Revo offers this turbo as a reliable package capable of exceeding 500HP, even without the need to upgrade internal engine components or DSG clutches, while also focusing on maintaining excellent driveability and on-road feel. Key features of the IS38ETR V2 include custom-designed compressor and turbine wheels made from billet aluminum for enhanced aerodynamics and lower inertia, providing superior flow characteristics and improved performance. The turbine wheel boasts a custom high-flow aero blade profile to complement the compressor, increasing exhaust gas choke flow and reducing backpressure. The unit is precision balanced to motorsport specifications, ensuring reduced vibration and improved reliability. The strengthened back-plate, machined from a single billet piece, offers greater resistance to warping, and an increased diameter shaft addresses weaknesses found in the OE part. Further enhancing its performance and reliability, the IS38ETR V2 incorporates an enlarged bearing housing with a custom 360° thrust bearing system and 4 oil-fed thrust pads. It also features an integrated recirculation valve (blow-off valve) to prevent compressor surge and a Turbo Muffler Delete for smoother airflow, improved throttle response, and enhanced turbo acoustics. Revo's extensive experience in software calibration and turbo engineering ensures this hardware and software package works in harmony to achieve exhilarating performance and reliability, balancing top-end power with bottom-end response. Dyno testing comparing a stock VW Golf R with an IS38 Turbo against a vehicle with the Revo IS38ETR turbo and Revo performance pack showed peak gains of +174HP and +188NM, with maximum gains over stock reaching +183HP at 6500RPM and +188NM at 4600RPM. This resulted in peak performance of 457HP / 567NM at the hubs.
