ITB Conversion Package for BMW M50/M52/S52 E36/Z3/E39/E46

The Active Autowerke ITB Conversion Package is an adapter kit engineered for BMW M50, M52, and S52 engines, specifically fitting E36, Z3, E39, and E46 chassis. This system facilitates the conversion to individual throttle bodies (ITBs), a performance enhancement that significantly improves engine characteristics. By eliminating cylinder cross-talk, it allows for the use of more aggressive camshafts without low-RPM stalling or lumpiness, resulting in a smoother idle. The direct and short path for intake air to each cylinder translates into lightning-quick throttle response. Furthermore, by enabling each cylinder to consume the maximum and equal amount of air, the engine can operate at its optimal performance level, leading to increased power. It can be assembled using basic hand tools, allowing for the engine to be operational in a matter of hours. Buyers can choose between two configurations: Open Trumpets, which requires a standalone ECU for maximum performance, or a Carbon Plenum option that allows the use of the stock ECU and MAF sensor, eliminating the need for tuning. Important compatibility notes and prerequisites apply. This kit is not compatible with M52TU or M52TUB variants (Dual Vanos engines). The stock Cam Angle Sensor is not compatible and requires replacement with a Hall Type sensor. Vehicles equipped with Fly-By-Wire Throttle will need to be converted to a cable throttle system. The ECU itself is no longer included, as ECU Master prefers country-specific distributors.
