The Turbosmart IWG75 is an upgraded internal wastegate actuator specifically designed for Borg Warner EFR B2 single and twin scroll turbocharger series. This actuator boasts an increased 'Working Ratio' over factory equipment, which translates to improved boost response throughout the entire RPM range. This enhanced performance is achieved through a larger diaphragm surface area and revised internal springs, providing greater leverage against boost and backpressure while maintaining super-responsiveness. Constructed from high-grade billet aluminum for strength and light weight, the IWG75 features a proprietary silicon Nomex diaphragm capable of withstanding high temperatures. The stainless steel rod and clevis prevent corrosion, ensuring durability in harsh conditions. A unique locking collar system allows for quick and easy spring changes, offering flexibility for tuning. The actuator comes with springs pre-fitted for a 14 psi setting, and optional springs are available for pressures ranging from 3 psi to 26 psi. While upgrading with the same base pressure as the factory unit can yield a broader boost and torque curve, with peak boost achieved earlier and held longer, tuning and recalibration are likely required for optimal performance. This wastegate actuator is a direct bolt-on for the specified Borg Warner turbochargers.
