Overview

The Turbosmart IWG75 is an internal wastegate actuator designed to improve boost response for factory-frame turbochargers. It features an increased 'Working Ratio' over stock units, achieved through a larger diaphragm surface area and revised springs, leading to better leverage against boost and backpressure.

This upgrade results in a broader boost and torque curve, with peak boost occurring earlier and holding longer. It is constructed from high-grade billet aluminum with stainless steel rods and clevis, and includes Turbosmart's unique locking collar system and a proprietary silicon Nomex diaphragm. This is a direct bolt-on upgrade for K04 turbochargers found on 1.8T engines in Volkswagen, Audi, and Seat vehicles.

The Turbosmart IWG75 Internal Wastegate Actuator is engineered to maximize boost response from your factory-frame turbocharger. It offers an improved 'Working Ratio' compared to OEM actuators, leading to enhanced boost delivery across the entire RPM range. This is achieved by increasing the effective diaphragm surface area and revising the internal springs to provide greater leverage against boost and backpressure, all while maintaining super-responsiveness. By upgrading to the IWG75, you can anticipate a broader boost and torque curve, with peak boost achieved earlier and sustained for longer into the higher RPMs. While maintaining the same base pressure as the factory unit will yield these benefits, higher base pressures can further amplify improvements but will likely require ECU tuning and recalibration. Constructed from high-grade billet aluminum, this actuator features durable stainless steel rods and clevis, along with Turbosmart's unique locking collar system for secure assembly. The diaphragm is made from a proprietary silicon Nomex material, ensuring reliability and performance. This actuator is designed as a direct bolt-on upgrade specifically for K04 turbochargers fitted to 1.8 Turbo engines in Volkswagen, Audi, and Seat models. Springs are available from 3psi to 26psi (optional), allowing for further customization of boost levels.
