J-Series V6 Cold Air Intake

The SoCal Intakes cold air intake is engineered to overcome the limitations of the factory air box in Acura RL and TL models equipped with the J-Series V6 engine. The stock setup utilizes restrictive resonators and corrugated tubing, which can impede airflow and reduce power, especially at higher RPMs. This cold air intake system replaces that with smooth-wall, mandrel-bent aluminum piping, promoting a more efficient and laminar flow of air to the intake manifold. This design not only aims to deliver a noticeable increase in mid-range torque but also unleashes a resonant, aggressive VTEC crossover sound that is often masked by the factory configuration. The system features an optimized velocity stack and is finished in a high-temperature black powder coat for improved resistance to engine bay heat soak, ensuring a denser air charge. It is designed as a true bolt-on application, utilizing factory mounting points with no cutting or welding required. The kit includes a washable, high-flow synthetic filter. Technical specifications indicate fitment for 2004-2008 Acura RL and TL models with the J-Series V6 engine family (J32A3 / J35A8).
