The Burger Motorsports JB4 is a plug-and-play performance tuner specifically engineered for the Kia Stinger and Genesis G70 3.3L Turbo models. This device integrates seamlessly with your vehicle's factory ECU by connecting to accessible sensors in the engine bay, allowing it to remap boost, timing, and fueling parameters for optimal performance and a noticeable reduction in turbo lag.
Unlike basic tuning chips, the JB4 boasts a sophisticated CANbus system that actively monitors and incorporates various data points such as pedal input, throttle position, gear, engine speed, air/fuel ratio, fuel trims, ignition advance, and knock into its performance mapping. It also offers the functionality to read and delete fault codes and includes advanced safety features. These features ensure boost pressure is kept low until the engine and oil reach optimal operating temperatures, and can automatically reduce boost if the engine overheats, runs lean, knocks excessively, or over boosts.
The JB4 is compatible with multiple maps, including those for 91 octane, 93 octane, and E85 fuel mixtures. Fuel economy during normal driving conditions remains unchanged, and it is compatible with all factory driving modes. The installation is discreet and easily reversible, leaving no trace when removed. The system comes with a rugged billet aluminum enclosure for protection and is designed and assembled in the USA, backed by a 5-year warranty.
For more heavily modified vehicles, the optional JB4PRO adapter is available, offering built-in Bluetooth for wireless app control, integrated ethanol sensor processing, control for water/methanol injection, onboard data-logging memory, and ports for additional sensors. The JB4PRO app allows for map changes, data analysis, and firmware updates via iOS or Android devices. The manufacturer also notes that Kia and Genesis platforms can be prone to spark blowout at higher boost levels, recommending spark plug upgrades if they have over 25,000 miles.
