The Burger Motorsports (BMS) JB4 Performance Tuner is a sophisticated plug-and-play tuning system engineered for turbocharged vehicles, specifically targeting the Kia Stinger and Genesis G70 3.3L models. This device integrates seamlessly with your vehicle's factory ECU and sensors to optimize boost pressure, ignition timing, and fuel delivery, resulting in significant performance gains and a noticeable reduction in turbo lag. The JB4 stands out with its advanced features, including a fully programmable CANbus system, continuously upgradable firmware, and comprehensive data logging capabilities. The JB4's design prioritizes both performance and safety. Its CANbus integration allows it to process a wide array of real-time vehicle data, such as throttle position, gear selection, engine speed, air/fuel ratios, knock detection, and more, to dynamically adjust performance mapping. The system incorporates intelligent safety protocols, such as preventing boost engagement until the engine and turbochargers reach optimal operating temperatures, and automatically reducing boost levels if critical parameters like engine temperature, air/fuel ratio, or boost pressure deviate from safe limits. It also possesses the ability to read and clear fault codes. Included with the JB4 system are maps tailored for different fuel octanes, including 91, 93, and E85 ethanol blends, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance across various fuel types. For heavily modified vehicles, the JB4PRO board offers expanded capabilities, including built-in Bluetooth for smartphone connectivity via the free BMS app, integrated ethanol sensor processing, and provisions for water/methanol injection control and advanced sensor monitoring. The JB4 also offers improved 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, runs as smoothly as stock during normal driving, and does not affect fuel economy under standard conditions. For optimal performance and to prevent potential spark plug blow-out at higher boost levels, upgrading spark plugs with a heat range suitable for performance tuning is recommended if the current plugs have over 25,000 miles.
