JB4 Plug and Play Engine Tuner

The Burger Motorsports Group 10 JB4 is a plug and play engine tuner designed for turbocharged vehicles. It installs between your car's sensors and its DME/ECU, manipulating performance by remapping boost, timing, and fueling to achieve optimal performance and reduce turbo lag. This tuner offers more advanced connection points and processing than other systems, including CANbus, fuel & spark control, and smartphone connectivity via an optional Bluetooth adapter. Key features include the ability to access and incorporate all engine data into its tuning strategies, ensuring optimal performance and incorporating unique safety protocols. These safety features ensure boost pressure remains low until the engine reaches optimal operating temperature for proper lubrication and will automatically reduce boost if the engine experiences overheating, lean conditions, excessive knocking, or over-boosting. The JB4 is also compatible with the JB4PRO Bluetooth adapter, allowing for on-the-fly map changes, data logging, and firmware updates through a free iOS or Android app. Installation is described as a quick plug-and-play process. The JB4 offers multiple tuning maps for different fuel types, supports E85 ethanol blends, can read and delete fault codes, and displays/logs up to 40 engine parameters. It also features boost-by-gear control for improved traction and controls exhaust flap operation on supported vehicles. The tuner runs as smoothly as stock, is compatible with all driving modes, and has no impact on fuel economy during normal driving. It requires 91 octane or better for performance gains. The JB4 is not VIN-locked, is fully removable, and includes a billet aluminum enclosure. It is designed and assembled in the USA and comes with a 5-year warranty. This specific Group 10 JB4 tuner is designed for the following Volkswagen applications: 2017-2021 VW Jetta 1.4T TSI and 2019-2022 Golf 1.4T TSI.
