JB4 Plug-and-Play Tuner for 1.6L Turbo Smartstream Engine

The Burger Motorsports JB4 tuner is a plug-and-play solution for Kia and Hyundai vehicles equipped with the 1.6L Turbo Smartstream 4-cylinder engine. This performance module interfaces with your vehicle's existing sensors and ECU to remap boost, timing, and fueling, resulting in enhanced performance and a reduction in turbo lag. It offers power gains of up to 40hp and 60tq to the wheels on a stock vehicle. Unlike simpler tuning systems, the JB4 features a fully programmable CANbus system, allowing it to process a wide range of real-time vehicle data, including pedal input, throttle position, gear, engine speed, air/fuel ratio, ignition advance, and knock detection. This integration enables sophisticated performance mapping and includes unique safety features. These safety measures ensure boost pressure remains low until the engine reaches optimal operating temperature and can automatically reduce boost if the engine experiences overheating, lean conditions, excessive knocking, or over-boosting. The JB4 provides multiple tuning maps for various fuel types, including 91 octane, 93 octane, and E85 ethanol blends, and supports on-the-fly map selection. It can also read and delete fault codes. For enhanced connectivity, the JB4 includes the JB4PRO adapter for wireless Bluetooth control via an iOS or Android device. This allows for data logging, performance map changes, and firmware updates. The JB4 is designed for a discreet installation and is easily reversible, leaving no trace when removed. It includes a billet aluminum enclosure, is assembled in the USA, and comes with a 5-year warranty.
