JB4 Plug-and-Play Tuning Box

The Burger Motorsports JB4 is a plug-and-play piggyback ECU upgrade designed to transform the performance of your BMW's B46, B48, or B58 engine. It delivers substantial power gains, sharper throttle response, and customizable tuning without the need for a permanent remap. Installation is straightforward with a purpose-built harness, and the unit can be removed without leaving a trace. The JB4 features up to 8 maps for various fuel types and modifications, allowing for on-the-fly switching to maintain smooth, factory-like drivability in comfort modes while providing serious performance when desired. Key features include CANbus OBDII integration, enabling functionalities such as boost-by-gear settings, in-dash gauge options, exhaust valve control, water/meth support, and built-in data logging. The device is compatible with the JB4 Mobile app via a Bluetooth Connect Kit or with a BMS Data Cable for laptop tuning, logging, and free firmware updates. The JB4 is constructed with a rugged billet aluminum enclosure and is made in the USA, backed by a 5-year BMS repair warranty. Performance gains can be significant, with the B48 engine potentially seeing up to 40 wheel horsepower (whp) and the B58 up to 80 whp on pump fuel alone. These gains can be further increased with bolt-on modifications, higher octane fuels, ethanol blends, and upgraded turbos. The JB4 also improves 0 to 60 mph and quarter-mile times while keeping fuel economy unchanged during normal driving. Performance maps require 91 octane fuel or better, with ethanol E85 compatible maps available.
