The Burger Motorsports (BMS) JB4 Universal Water/Methanol Injection (WMI) Kit enables users to safely generate substantial power from pump gas. This system injects a water/methanol/alcohol mixture, creating an effect similar to using 100 octane race gas or E85 fuel, but with the added advantage of charge cooling for superior power output beyond what race gas or E85 alone can achieve. The kit's core functionality lies in its integration with the BMS JB4 tuning system, facilitating dynamic and progressive flow mapping. This allows for precise adjustments based on various engine parameters such as boost, throttle position, engine speed, and intake temperature. A critical safety feature is the kit's ability to monitor pump current via the JB4's CANbus system. This data is used to overlay with feedback on fuel trims and fuel pressure, creating a comprehensive flow-based safety system. If the WMI tank runs empty or flow is otherwise compromised, the JB4 will automatically reduce performance to prevent engine knock.
